6-DAY SPLIT-WEEK COMPLEX WELL CORE COMPETENCY

Bob Knoll Teaching on Vimeo.

Above is a condensed 5 minute video showing Bob`s dynamic presentation style. The topic is fundamental change in the “driller’s role” from conventional vertical well drilling, to that of productive interval construction in complex well exploitation. The final segment of the clip includes an economic perspective of the “Resource Play” term.

An Asset Team Cross-training Program, not a drilling course, but an intense cross-training course for drilling supervisors and all asset team members.

The core 6-day asset team program originated from the DEA-44 Horizontal Well Technology JIP of the late 80s and has since evolved through constant updates and delivery over 260 times in every major petroleum basin globally, with consistently excellent review. During the 90s it was delivered by Maurer Technology (subsidiary of Noble Drilling) to DEA-44 members and via open-industry commercial staging. In 2000, the program was available exclusively via the Petroskills global training consortium and was unavailable to any other entities. As of April 2007, the Petroskills relationship terminated, and the course is now available via the AAPG, NExT, CSM, and other technical training organizations globally. The program is very interactive and flexible, with easy customization to any specific asset or corporate culture setting for inhouse stagings.

The course runs Tuesdays to Thursdays consecutively.

EXECUTIVE OVERVIEW PRESENTATION

It is very difficult to expose asset team leaders and managers to the dramatic multidisciplined content and intent of this course via phone calls and e-mails,  so we have developed a short (30-minute) executive overview power-point presentation for that purpose. We would also be pleased to offer this presentation to yourself, your designates, and any of your interested managers or training coordinators in your facilities in Calgary that may have interest in complex (horizontal) well exploitation pursuits in any conventional, or unconventional asset setting. Any attending this executive overview will find it extremely informative. All that we require is a meeting room with projector in your offices. We are available, with reasonable notice, to deliver this presentation to your staff should you desire. Please feel free to call or e-mail the lead instructor (Bob Knoll) to arrange for an inhouse presentation of the executive overview power-point presentation.
